Ekin Bozkurt is a sound artist - 3D CGI designer from Istanbul, currently based in Milan, with a diverse background in sound art, urbanism, and landscape architecture. She utilizes sound and other aesthetic and functional mediums to complement storytelling and interaction, exploring creativity and fluidity in public spaces, city elements, dance movements, cognition of feelings, objects, and everyday expressions. She holds a Master’s degree in Sound Art from Barcelona University, where she gained formation in sound creation and sound design. Her thesis project “Sound Art Movement for Creative Spaces“ is a practical-led research project which investigates the acoustic properties of industrial chimneys. She realised various installations, performances; composed sound pieces with the collaborations of the institiutions such as Hangar, Convent de Sant Agusti in Barcelona; Casa degli Artisti, Zona K (and with collaboration of Rimini Protokoll) in Milano, Salt in Istanbul.
